Faith House: More Than a House

Faith House

You filled Jessica’s* eyes with tears. Even though Jessica had observed 32 birthdays, nobody had ever celebrated one. This year, because of your support, Faith House baked Jessica her first birthday cake, and she could not hold back her emotion. It was not just any cake, but one made in her favorite flavor and accommodating her dietary restrictions. Jessica had never known the love of a family until she arrived at this home that you sustain.

Many women’s shelters are institutional in style, with bedrooms resembling hospital rooms, but you made Faith House more than a house—it is a home. You allow women who experience homelessness to have a short-term place to stay and a long-term family. Many of these women learn for the first time how to receive unconditional love and show it to their children because you give to the ministry of Faith House.

Rescued Treasures Coordinator

Carol empowers the volunteers in Rescued Treasures. Together, they provide clothing people need for themselves and their families. Carol also runs Crossed Bridges with her husband Jonathan. She enjoys playing any sport with a ball, crocheting, bike riding, and spending time with her husband and five children.

“He who loves God must love his brother also.” (1 John 4:21) explains what wakes Carol up in the morning to begin a new day; being able to serve the Lord while working with people, whether it be administratively or relationally. She loves hearing the testimonies of how Jesus has changed people’s lives, especially because He’s done so much for her!
