Christmas Grace at Faith House

Julia* has been in jail during several recent Christmases, and it was certainly NOT the “most wonderful time of the year” for her. Upon her release, she had nowhere to go and found herself homeless. However,  because of your loyal support, Faith House was there to receive her with open arms.

Christmas at Faith House looks much different than holidays in the joint! Local businesses adorn the  exterior of the House with sparkling lights, and staff decorates the shared areas with traditional festive symbols of the season that generous people have donated. However, the individual apartments of the Transitional Living Program are not decorated. So, Julia had no Christmas cheer in her personal space.

Then, a knock came at Julia’s apartment door. She was shocked and delighted when a Faith House team  member delivered a completely decorated Christmas tree! That donated tree and its trimmings reminded Julia of the reason for the Season, reaffirming that the Greatest Gift of all – Jesus – really is for her.  Because you gave, Julia and all the women and children whose home is at Faith House, can truly celebrate the birth of Christ.
