Love Slowly Breaks Through

Like many of the residents of Faith House, Erica* escaped an abusive relationship. Thankfully, your support provided her with a safe place to go. When Erica entered Faith House, she displayed an impenetrable exterior, keeping people at a distance. She distrusted everybody. Even though Erica seemed closed off and unreachable, love broke through to her. The other women recognized her hurt and fear, so they were persistent with kindness, affirmation, and love.

Long-term change rarely happens quickly, and influence happens through faithfulness. After about two months, your faithful prayers and support enabled Erica to open up to the women around her. Erica began trusting the other Faith House residents and even attended church with them. Every day, your love is healing people in their broken places.
